Bath and Splash Time!

There’s nothing quite as adorable as when babies realize their splashing abilities. Most babies love bath time, but it’s also important that they stay warm and comfortable. Ensure that the bath water is not too hot or too cold. In general, the bath water should be no less than your body temperature at 98.6 °F or the baby could be easily chilled. Right around 99 to 100 °F is an ideal temperature for infant bathing. Add a bath tub liner for an extra layer of protection. It’s also important to keep your infant warm when they’re coming out of the bath. Under these circumstances, terrycloth blankets or baby bath robes are great.

Remember to let your baby have fun in the bath too, and bathe them regularly. It’s important that infants have an early exposure to water so that they don’t become afraid of it later in life. For smaller children, bathing in the sink works out just fine!
